Apps bought through the Atlassian Marketplace

For apps sold through the Atlassian Marketplace, Atlassian's own Marketplace Terms of Use govern your purchase, billing, renewals and refunds. Atlassian is the seller. These terms cover the parts that are ours: what the app does, what it does not do, and what you can expect from us.

Licence

While your subscription is active you may use the app within your own organisation. You may not resell it, redistribute it, or attempt to extract its source in order to republish it. Normal use, including inspecting what it does and why, is fine and encouraged.

What we promise

• The apps do what their listing says. Where behaviour is surprising — for example that Confluence does not pass edit restrictions to child pages — we document it plainly rather than hiding it.
• Support by email, answered within one business day, by the person who wrote the app.
• Read-only apps stay read-only. The Confluence Permission Auditor will never be given the ability to change a permission.
• If we change what an app does with your data, it appears in the changelog and in the privacy policy.

What we do not promise

The apps report what Atlassian's APIs tell them, at the moment they are asked. A permission report is a snapshot and is stamped with the time it was taken; permissions can change a second later. Our reports are a tool for your access review, not a substitute for one, and they are not a compliance certification. You remain responsible for your own permissions and your own audit conclusions.

We also depend on Atlassian's platform. If Atlassian is down, rate-limits us, or changes an API, an app may be degraded or unavailable until we adapt.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to an app is limited to what you paid for that app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under German law, including for injury or for intent and gross negligence.

Ending it

You can uninstall at any time; cancellation and refunds follow Atlassian's Marketplace terms. Uninstalling removes the app's storage from your site. We may end a subscription if an app is used to break the law or to attack the platform, and we will say why.

Law

German law applies. If you are a consumer, this does not affect the protections of your own country's law.
